Joseph V. DiPietro is the chief judge of the Orphans Court of Queen Anne’s County in Queen Anne's County, Maryland.[1] He has served as a judge on the court since 2002.[2] He ran for re-election to the Orphans Court of Queen Anne’s County in 2014, winning a term that expired on December 31, 2018.[3][4]

DiPietro ran for re-election to the Orphans Court of Queen Anne’s County.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 16.1 percent of the vote. He competed against Kim Calvert, Barry Donadio, Steve Hoofnagle, Penelope A. Keating, Richard "Dick" Smith, Eric Wargotz, and incumbent Judge Kimberly Jean Cascia. Primary candidates competed for 3 seats.
General: He faced Stan Ruddie, Eric Wargotz, and incumbent judges, Thomas M. Walsh and Kimberly Jean Cascia in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 24.3 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for three open seats.

DiPietro was re-elected to the Orphans Court of Queen Anne’s County in the general election on November 2, 2010, (along with Kimberly Jean Cascia and George M. O'Donnell). He received 27.21% of the vote.[6]

Education
DiPietro received his LL.B. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1961.[2]
