Kim Caston was a member of the Richardson Independent School District school board in Texas, representing Place 7. Caston assumed office in 2019. Caston left office in 2021.

Caston won re-election to the Richardson Independent School District school board to represent District 2 in Texas outright after the general election on May 5, 2018, was canceled.

Caston previously served as the Place 2 member of the Richardson Independent School District school board from 2007 to 2019. In 2019, the school board voted to change board member composition from seven at-large seats to five by-district seats and two at-large seats, causing Caston to become the Place 7 representative.
