Lori Landry was the chief judge of the 16th Judicial District, Division H in Louisiana. She was elected to the court on November 5, 2002, and served in that position until her retirement in 2020.[1][2][3][4]

Landry was again re-elected to the 16th Judicial District in 2014, for a six-year term commencing on January 1, 2015, and ending on December 31, 2020.[5][6]

Primary: She was elected in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 57.1 percent of the vote. She competed against Alicia Johnson Butler and Carolyn Deal.

Education

Landry received her B.A. in pre-law from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (formerly the University of Southwestern Louisiana) and received her J.D. degree in 1989 from the Southern University Law Center.[1][7]

Career

Landry worked as an assistant district attorney in the 16th Judicial District for over eight years prior to her judicial election in 2002.[1]
