Marilyn Antrim was a judge for the Eighteenth Judicial District Court of Colorado. She was appointed to this position by Governor Bill Owens in 2003.[1] Antrim retired on July 1, 2016.[2]

Education

Antrim graduated with a degree in secondary education from St. Mary of the Plains College (Dodge City, Kansas) in 1982. She then moved to the Denver, Colorado area and worked in real estate before graduating from the University of Denver with a J.D. in 1989.[1]

Career

Antrim began her legal career with the firm of Kissinger & Fellman, PC. She left the firm in 1996, when she was appointed magistrate of Jefferson County. She was appointed a district court judge in 2003.[1]

Antrim was retained to the Colorado 18th Judicial District Court in the general election on November 6, winning 66.81 percent of the vote.[3]

Judicial performance evaluation

The Eighteenth Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance announced its recommendations for judges up for retention in 2012. According to its website, the commission evaluates judges based on the following criteria: integrity, legal knowledge, communication skills, judicial temperament, and administrative performance.[4]


Judge Antrim was recommended for retention by a 8-2 vote. [5]
