This measure sought to renew the current ambulance levy which is set at a rate of $.35 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to help pay for ambulance and medical service costs in the township.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
| A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Marion Township, including the Village of Blanchester, for the purpose of providing ambulance service, emergency medical service or both at a rate not exceeding three and five-tenths (3.5) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to thirty-five cents ($0.35) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3] |
