Martin Schoenfeld was a judge of the New York Supreme Court 1st Judicial District.

Biography

Education

Schoenfeld received his undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College in 1968 and his J.D. degree from Syracuse University School of Law in 1971.[1]

Career

Schoenfeld began his career in 1972 as a practicing attorney for the law firm of Kummel Rogers Kaufman & Shenkman. He then worked from 1979 to 1984 as a law secretary for Supreme Court Justice Jerome Marks.

Schoenfeld began his judicial career in 1985 as a judge of the New York City Civil Court. He served in this position through 1994. During this time, from 1989 to 1994, he was also an acting justice of the Supreme Court. He was elected to the Supreme Court in 1995 and was re-elected in 2009. He began serving on the Appellate Term of the Supreme Court in 2002.[1]
