Matt Farmer
Matt Farmer (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Texas House of Representatives to represent District 64. Farmer lost in the Democratic primary on March 6, 2018.
On January 23, 2018, Farmer announced his informal withdrawal from the election. He stated, "Without delving into specifics, I've recently had some family issues come up which has occupied a lot of my head space. That's not fair to my staff, to my volunteers, to my supporters and most importantly, to the voters in this district. After meditating on it for the past couple of weeks, I've decided to withdraw from the race, not because I want to, but because I think that I should." His name still appeared on the primary ballot.[1]
