Maureen A. Sweeney

Maureen A. Sweeney is a judge on the Mahoning County Court of Common Pleas in Youngstown, Ohio. She was appointed to the court by former Governor Bob Taft and assumed office on July 28, 2004.[1] Sweeney was then elected to the court in November 2008.[2] She was re-elected to the Mahoning County Court of Common Pleas without opposition in 2014, winning a new term that expires on January 1, 2021.[3]

Sweeney received her undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Youngstown State University and her J.D. from the University of Akron.[1]

Before joining the court, Sweeney worked as an attorney in private practice for over ten years.[1]
