Michael D. Clement is a judge on the 25th Judicial District in Louisiana. He was elected to the court in 2011. He was re-elected in 2014 for a term beginning on January 1, 2015, and expiring on December 31, 2020.[1][2]

As an unopposed candidate, he was automatically re-elected without appearing on the ballot. [2]

2011

Clement defeated Amos Cormier in the October 22 election for the 25th Judicial District, winning 54.91% of the vote.[3][4]

Education

Clement earned a B.A. from Loyola University in 1987, going on to receive his J.D. from Loyola University Law School in 1991.[5]

Career

After earning his law degree, Clement began a civil practice with emphasis on medical malpractice, worker's compensation claims, long-shore and harbor workers claims, and general insurance defense claims. After 1993 he maintained a general civil practice, representing clients in cases involving divorce, custody, personal injury, contract, maritime and successions.[5]
