Michael "Mickey" Rocque was a candidate for a seat on the Seventeenth Circuit Court of Florida in 2012.[1]

2012 election

Rocque ran for election on Aug. 14, 2012, but was defeated by incumbent Judge Dale Ross after receiving 29.3% of the vote.[2][3]

Education

Rocque received his B.A. degree (Marketing/Business) from the University of South Florida and his J.D. degree from the Nova Southeastern University Law Center.[4]

Career

Rocque began his career at the Broward County Public Defender's Office, where he spent six years as an Assistant Public Defender and Drug Court Public Defender. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at Nova Law School for twenty five years. In addition, he is the President of Michael J. Rocque, P.A.[4]
