Turner provided the following statement for the Washington general election voters pamphlet:

I was born and raised in Raymond, Washington. I have lived and worked in Pacific and Wahkiakum Counties most of my life. I drove delivery truck in Pacific and Wahkiakum Counties when I was young, and have practiced as a lawyer in Pacific and Wahkiakum Counties over the last 20 years.

I am passionate about ensuring that everyone has a fair opportunity, an opportunity to present their position and to have that position fully heard and given due consideration by someone with an open mind. I have a great desire to understand people, what they want and why. To understand requires an open mind to be able to see things from someone else's perspective, even if you do not agree. Only then can you make a fair, unbiased, dispassionate evaluation. I take pride in being able to provide such openminded, dispassionate and unbiased consideration.

If elected, I would be always mindful of the great trust which the voters place in those they elect as Judge and the great responsibility of making decisions which have such profound effect on peoples' lives.

I would be honored and privileged to serve the people of Pacific and Wahkiakum Counties as Superior Court Judge.[1][2]
