What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
Texas needs to start planning now for the economic crisis that will be caused by jobs lost to automation over the coming years. As a part of this, we have to increase access to high-speed, broadband internet in rural areas to give residents economic and educational opportunities not available with low speeds and unreliable connections. The state needs to invest more in our public schools and increase its share of school funding to relieve the burden on local taxpayers. Every student deserves a world-class education because the future of Texas depends on them and our economy requires an educated workforce. Expand Medicaid and close the coverage gap which will help millions of Texans with health care.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
* Human Rights including Women's Rights and LGBTQ Rights
- Racial, Social, and Economic Justice
- Science-based Environmental Policy
What process do you favor for redistricting?
We should have a bi-partisan committee for redistricting or use computer-generated districts. Partisan gerrymandering must end.
