The Michigan Right to Hunt and Fish Amendment was not on the November 4, 2014 ballot in Michigan as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. The measure would have provided for a constitutional right to hunt, trap, fish and harvest game species as subject to the conditions of scientific management. The measure would have also guaranteed that state public land and water are open to hunting, trapping, fishing and harvesting game species.[1]

In order for the state legislature to place the measure on the ballot, a minimum two-thirds vote was required in both the Michigan House of Representatives and the Michigan State Senate.
