The Minnesota Equal Under the Law Amendment was not on the ballot in Minnesota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment on November 5, 2024.[1]

The constitutional amendment would have added language to the constitution to prohibit the denial of rights to individuals based on race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, ancestry, or national origin. An amendment to the bill by the state House of Representatives included a right to make decisions about all matters relating to one's own pregnancy or decision whether to become or remain pregnant and move the vote on the amendment to the 2026 general election. The Senate did not approve the measure before the 2024 legislative session adjourned.[2]
