The Mississippi Justice of the Peace Court, Amendment 1, also known as Amendment 1, was on the 1975 ballot in Mississippi as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended. The amendment proposed that the jurisdictional amount in the Justice of Peace courts be increased to $500.[1]
