I am a Jordan District graduate and third-generation teacher. I teach Band, Orchestra, Percussion, and A.P. Music Theory at Corner Canyon High School; formerly, I also taught math and co-taught special education math classes.
  • Supporting Students: I believe that all students deserve a complete, high-quality education. I also believe that everyone benefits from a well-educated population. I will work to assure this is true for all Jordan District students.
  • Engaging Families: The entire community educates students. I want to encourage family input and investment in education. I want to represent the interests of Daybreak, Herriman, and Copperton on the Jordan School Board.
  • Teachers are professionals and must be supported. Education Support Professionals are crucial to student success. I will work to attract and keep the best educators in Jordan District. When we improve working conditions and compensation for our educators, Jordan will attract and keep the best educators; our students will see great benefits as a result.
Protecting and improving Jordan School District!
My choice of education was also because of a teacher, this time at West Jordan High School. My first band teacher set me on a pathway forward resulting in 6 years teaching music so far and doing all that I can to improve the state of education for both students and teachers! I hope that someday, both through my teaching and through service on the school board, I can impact half as many students as positively as she did for me.
The first job I was paid for was while attending West Jordan Middle School (which my father also attended!).

I was, as a result of my training in technical theatre on the Stage Crew, asked to assist the West Jordan Youth Theatre with running the soundboard during their productions at WJMS for several years.

That opportunity (and many others I've had since) would not have been possible without a teacher. I had a fantastic education growing up in Jordan District, and other teachers throughout my life have inspired my pathway.
Working to serve the students, families, and educators within Jordan District. Assuring that taxes are well-spent, but also assuring the highest quality education for all who attend the District's schools.
