A Mt. Sterling Library Levy Addition measure was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the Mt. Sterling library district area which is in Madison County.

This measure sought to add to the current library levy by a rate of $.10 per $100 of assessed property value for a period of five years in order to further pay for current expenses in the library district area.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

An additional tax for the benefit of the Mt. Sterling Public Library for the purpose of CURRENT EXPENSES at a rate not exceeding one (1) mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to ten cents ($0.10) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3]
