Two Murray City Current Expenses Levy Renewal measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the city of Murray which is in Hocking County.

Both measures were approved[1]

These measures were both the same, they sought to renew the current expenses levy which is set at a rate of $.50 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for current expenses in the city.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Village of Murray City for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding five (5.0) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to fifty cents ($0.50) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
