The New Mexico Proposed Amendment, Succession to Governorship by Lieutenant Governor, also known as Constitutional Amendment No. 6, was on the 1948 ballot in New Mexico as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The proposed measure allowed for a constitutional amendment that designated succession of the governorship to the lieutenant governor.[1]
