Biography

Nico Mathews graduated from Eisenhower High School in 2002. He received his bachelor's degree in political science from Prairie View A&M University and his master's degrees in political science and public administration from The University of St. Thomas. Mathews' professional experience includes working as an educator and school administrator. He has been associated with the Houston Metropolitan Baptist Ministers Conference as a board member.[1]

Mr. Nico S. Mathews is a Aldine product having completed all of his k-12 education in Aldine ISD and is a graduate of Eisenhower High School 2002. He is an active Alumni of Prairie View A&M University with a degree in Political Science. He is also a graduate of The University of St. Thomas graduate school, having obtained an Masters of Liberal Arts Degree with an concentration in Political Science and Public Administration. Mr. Mathews has worked in many area's of education. He has been a educator and school administrator for several years with experience working with all levels of school leadership and community stakeholders. He has received numerous awards for community service and advocacy. He is an lifelong resident of Aldine ISD having been raised in the (44) acres homes community. He has been heavily involved in community work and civic engagement fighting for educational resources to eliminate all non academic barriers. He is committed to educational excellence and community engagement He believes that teachers need to be supported in all aspects of their job, students need to nurtured and taught by teachers who know they are supported.Everybody matters in education and everyone will be supported no matter what. He is an board member of the Houston Metropolitan Baptist Ministers Conference.[2]
