As both a mother and an educator, I know what it takes to empower students and families and am deeply invested in doing so. I am looking forward to using my extensive knowledge and expertise to serve the CUSD community as a Governing Board Member.
  • Smaller Class Sizes - nearly 40 students in a class is too many
  • Respecting and Acknowledging the Diversity in Our District
  • Consistent and Stabilizing Learning Environments for our kids
Our students need the kind of attention and guidance from their teachers that simply can not be attained in classes with 35-45 students. Reducing class sizes by better allocating the resources the District has would allow students to return to school post-COVID more quickly and deliver better outcomes as well.
Allocating resources to provide the best possible outcome for all students must be the number one priority of any Board member.
Every child that goes to a Clovis school, every parent of a child that goes to a Clovis School, and every person who benefits from the strong reputation Clovis Schools have maintained.
I support those interests by understanding them. I'm a former Classroom Teacher with nearly 20 years of experience in Education at the K-12, vocational, university and Doctoral level.
More than half the students in Clovis Unified are minority students, and the administration, teachers and curriculum of the district should reflect this diversity.
