The Pasco County Schools superintendent is an elected position.[1]
John Legg is the superintendent of Pasco County Schools. Legg was first elected superintendent in November 2024. Legg's previous career experience includes working as a teacher, co-founder of Dayspring Academy, and in the Florida state house and senate.[2]
School board
The Pasco County Schools school board consists of five members elected to four-year terms. Board members are elected to specific geographical districts in at-large elections.[3][4]

Elections are held on a staggered basis in the November general election.[5]
Two seats on the school board were expected to be up for general election on November 5, 2024. The election was unnecessary after both races were decided in the August 20, 2024, primary. Candidates could win outright in the primary election if they were unopposed or if they received a majority of votes cast in the primary.

Academic performance
