Patrick J. Kelly II (Kentucky)
Patrick J. Kelly II was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 6th Congressional District of Kentucky. Kelly was defeated by Andy Barr in the Republican primary on May 22, 2012.[1]

He has a bachelor's in computer science from the University of Kentucky.[2]

He works for Galmont Consulting as a Software engineer[2]

Elections
2012
Kelly ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Kentucky's 6th District as a Republican.[3] Incumbent Ben Chandler ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. Kelly was defeated by Andy Barr in the Republican primary.[4] Candidate Randolph Vance ran as an independent candidate in the general election. Candidates wishing to run were initially required to file by the signature filing deadline of January 31, 2012. However because the legislature was unable to complete new redistricting maps on time, the deadline was pushed back one week.[5] The new deadline was February 7.[6] The primary elections were held on May 22, 2012.[7]
