Patrick M. Shannon ran for judge on the Chippewa County Probate Court in Michigan. The court was intended to close through attrition in Michigan's court consolidation plan, and was only going to be kept open by the re-election of Judge Ulrich. However, Ulrich decided to step down before the election in 2012. The Chippewa County Probate Court closed in September 2012.[1]
2012 election
Shannon intended to compete against Lowell R. Ulrich in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2]
