Paul A. Hardison

Paul A. Hardison is a district court judge for the 4A Judicial District and 4B Judicial District, which presides over Duplin, Jones, Sampson, and Onslow counties of North Carolina.[1] He was first elected to the court in 1990.[2] Hardison was re-elected to the 4A and 4B Judicial Districts in 2014, winning a term that expired on December 31, 2018.[3][4] Hardison was chosen to succeed retiring Judge Leonard W. Thagard as chief judge of the court. He will step into the position on January 1, 2015.[5]

Education
Hardison received both his undergraduate degree and his J.D. from North Carolina Central University.[2]
Career
Before he became a judge, Hardison worked as an attorney in private practice from 1984 to 1990 in Onslow County. He also served as an elected official on the Onslow County Board of Education.[2]
