Paul F. Lisankie was a member of the Alaska Regulatory Commission from 2018 to 2019. He was appointed to the commission on February 1, 2018, to replace outgoing commissioner Norman Rokeberg, who retired. He left at the end of his term on March 1, 2019. Lisankie previously served on the commission from 2009 to 2015.[1]

Lisankie settled in Alaska in 1982 after his discharge from active duty as a Lieutenant in the U. S. Coast Guard. Lisankie was admitted to the practice of law in Alaska in 1985 and focused on administrative law. His previous work experience included staff counsel for the Alaska Consumer Advocacy Program; assistant attorney general for the state Department of Law; and hearing officer, chief of adjudications, and director of the division of workers' compensation for the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development.[1]

Political career

Alaska Regulatory Commissioner (2018-2019)

Lisankie was appointed to the Regulatory Commissioners in Alaska. He replaced outgoing Commissioner Norman Rokeberg, who retired. Lisankie was appointed to serve for the remainder of Rokeberg's term, which ended on March 1, 2019.[1]

Alaska Regulatory Commissioner (2009-2015)

Lisankie was appointed to the commission by former Gov. Sarah Palin on March 2, 2009 and served until 2015.[1]

Department of Labor and Workforce Development

Lisankie worked for over twenty years for the state government, including in the Department of Law as an assistant attorney general and in the Department of Labor and Workforce Development as a hearing officer, chief of adjudications, and finally director of the Division of Workers’ Compensation.[1]

Between 1987 and 1989 Lisankie served on the board of directors of Chugach Electric Association, Inc.[1]

Lisankie was appointed a second time to the Alaska Regulatory Commission on February 1, 2018, by Gov. Bill Walker (I).[1]
