Paula S. Yancey was a 2014 candidate for the 16th Chancery District (Place 1) in Mississippi.[1][2]

Yancey ran for election to the 16th Chancery District.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 49.97 percent of the vote. She competed against D. Neil Harris.

Education
Yancey earned her undergraduate degree in political science in 1986 from Mississippi College and her J.D. in 1989 from the Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson.[4]
Career
Yancey began her legal career at the firm, Montgomery, Smith-Vaniz and McGraw. In 1992, she became a partner with the firm Wallace and Stennett. Yancey has also worked for the firm, Goldman and Primeaux. In 1998, she began to serve as in-house counsel for Jackson County and in 2012 she began working as the county administrator.[4]
