Peter P. Charnetsky was a judge for the Broome County Family Court in New York. He was elected to the court in 2005. He also served as an acting justice of the Broome County Supreme Court and a judge of the Broome County Integrated Domestic Violence Court, beginning in 2006.[1] He was defeated in his bid for re-election to the Broome County Family Court in 2014 and stepped down when his term expired.[2]

Charnetsky ran for re-election to the Broome County Family Court.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 22.0 percent of the vote. He competed against Mark H. Young, Daniel D. Reynolds and Richard H. Miller, II for two open seats. [2] 

Education

Charnetsky received his B.A. degree from Clarkson University in 1977, his M.S.W. degree from Florida State University in 1980 and his J.D. degree from the Stetson University College of Law in 1984.[1]

Career

Charnetsky joined the Broome County Family Court bench in 2005 and became an acting supreme court justice and integrated domestic violence court judge the following year.[1]
