Phil Doolittle is the current City Treasuer of Redlands, CA. Phil has lived and worked most of his adult life in the Redlands community.

Phil previously held positions as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer at the University of Redlands with responsibility for the institutions’s financial and business affairs, including oversight of the investment of the endowment portfolio as well as other institutional funds. He has also served as Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer at the University of Massachusetts Global, and has held management positions at TRW, Inc (now Northrop Grumman) and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Phil has served on the governing boards of several professional and community organizations, including Redlands Community Hospital (Board Chair), Redlands Symphony (Treasurer), Museum of Redlands (RHMA), University of Redlands, Watchorn Lincoln Memorial Association (Board President), National Association of College & University Business Officers, WASC Senior College and University Commission (Commission Chair), College Liability Insurance Company, and Private 529 Plan, LLC.

Phil is active with the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers and California Municipal Treasurer’s Association as well as with several other public treasurer associations.

Phil received his BA degree from the University of Redlands and his MBA from the Atkinson Graduate School of Management, Willamette University.
