Dr. Sharon McKinney is the superintendent of the Port Aransas Independent School District. McKinney was appointed superintendent in June 2016. McKinney's previous career experience includes working in the district as the associate superintendent and a high school principal.[1]

The Port Aransas ISD board of trustees consists of seven members who are elected to three-year terms. All board members are elected at large by place.[2]
