I am a life long Harlingen resident who is tired of ever increasing property taxes, and decided to run to give voters a choice this election.
Local government is the closest to the people and needs to advocate up the chain of command while facilitating local commerce with fewer regulations.
I look up to Elon Musk, our generation's great man of history. He truly aims for the stars, and while often reality falls short of his lofty goals, he certainly makes it farther than anyone else and typically achieves results that exceed conventional expectations.
We need public servants not career politicians. Government should only pass laws if they have a direct nexus to the protection of life, liberty, or property.
I have deeply held convictions that come from a well formulated arsenal of political philosophy. I think more than anything, we need leaders who will not be swayed by the whims or excesses of mob rule.
Being transparent and responsive to the community, while treating government revenue with the care that an individual would treat their own money.
One that proves our founding principals were correct after all. That the government that governs least, governs best.
The first that I have a vivid memory of was the new millennia and the hope it inspired for the future. I was 9 at the time and the American Empire was at the height of its power, not yet giving way to decadent society we now inhabit.
In high school I worked at Church's Chicken my junior and senior year to save up for college.
Atlas Shrugged because it so accurately explains the human condition, the need to be loved by others, and the truth that personal responsibility is the heart of liberty. Who is John Galt?
Sin, and the everlasting pursuit of salvation.
People need to realize that this office appoints the board of critical local infrastructure such as the water works and airport. Personnel is policy.
No, in fact too much complacency is a rot in the laboratory of democracy. We need young dynamic leaders at the local level with fresh ideas and zealous commitment to the community.
A thorough understanding of the law and its tertiary effects, along with insight into the workings of small business.
The commission is the backbone, sounding board, and whipping post of the community.
The Libertarian Party, Good Party, Forward Party.
We need more transparency and accountability. Who watches the watchers?
