Rebecca W. Blackmore
Rebecca W. Blackmore was a district court judge for the 5th Judicial District, serving New Hanover and Pender counties of North Carolina.[1] She was appointed to the court by former Governor Jim Hunt in 1993 and was later elected to the court in 1994.[2] Blackmore retired from the court on December 31, 2014.[3]
Education
Blackmore received her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 1975 and her J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1983.[2]

- 1983-1993: Attorney in private practice
- 1983: Admitted to the North Carolina Bar[2][4]
2010 election
Blackmore defeated Jonathan Worth Washburn in the general election, winning 52.75 percent of the vote.[5]
