A Roaring Fork School District Levy Override measure was on the November 1, 2011 ballot in the Roaring Fork school district area which is in Garfield County.
This measure was approved
- YES 3,219 (52.7%)
- NO 2,889 (47.3%)[1]
This measure sought to allow a mill override at a rate of $4.8 million in order to help pay for offsetting cuts in funding for staff and programs in the school district. The committee, Vote for Our Kids had been formed to help promote this measure and campaign in favor of its approval.[2]
Current Statewide
A 2013 statewide measure, Amendment 66, would authorize Colorado to increase taxes with an expected revenue increase of $950 million for school funding.[3]
