Dr. Lesley Austin is the superintendent of the Rockport-Fulton Independent School District. Austin was hired as superintendent in April 2024. Her previous career experience includes working as a teacher, principal, chief of school operations, chief academic officer, and deputy superintendent.[1]

Past superintendents

  • Joshua Garcia was the superintendent of the Aransas County Independent School District from November 2020 to 2023. He stepped down from this position to accept the position as superintendent for the Kaufman Independent School District.[2] Garcia's previous career experience includes working as the executive director of instructional support for the Mansfield Independent School District and as a teacher and principal.[3]

The Rockport-Fulton Independent School District board of trustees consists of seven members elected to three-year terms. All board members are elected at large by place.[4]
