Ronald M. Jacobson

Ronald M. Jacobson was the resident judge of the Fifteenth Circuit Court in Dixon, Illinois.[1] He was appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court in June 2006 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge David T. Fritts.[2] Jacobson retired from the bench on December 2, 2018.[3]
Biography
Jacobson earned a bachelor's degree from Wheaton College and a J.D. from Valparaiso University.[4]
Jacobson's professional experience includes work as a prosecutor for Lee County and Ogle County, an assistant state's attorney in Ogle County, the first assistant state's attorney in Lee County, the chief of the civil division in the Lee County State's Attorney's Office, and an attorney in private practice. He has also served as a board member for the American Cancer Society and as the president of the Sauk Valley Community Concert Association and the Hope Crisis Pregnancy Center.[2]

Jacobson was retained to the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court with 83.7 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [5]

The Illinois State Bar Association and participating attorneys rated Ronald M. Jacobson as Recommended for retention in a 2014 poll.[6]
