Four of the five seats on the Auburn School District school board were up for election on November 3, 2015. Three seats were up for general election. District 1 incumbent Ray Vefik, District 2 incumbent Carol Seng, and District 4 incumbent Anne Baunach were up for regular election.

The fourth seat was up for special election due to an unexpired term. District 5 incumbent Lisa Connors resigned from the board in September 2014 to accept a job with the school district. Ryan Van Quill was unanimously appointed by the remaining board members to fill the open seat until the 2015 election.[3]

Van Quill stated at the time of his appointment that he intended to seek the remainder of the term in this election. Ultimately, he was the only candidate to file for the remainder of Connors' unexpired term and won the special election.[3][4]

While Vefik and Baunach won re-election without opposition in Districts 1 and 4, Seng did not file to seek a new term in the District 2 seat. Robyn Mulenga won the open seat without opposition.[4]

While all four races were officially unopposed, the candidates still appeared on the ballot. Write-in votes were allowed.
