Sam Glasscock, III

Sam Glasscock, III is a vice chancellor on the Court of Chancery in Delaware. He was appointed to the court in 2011 by Governor Jack Markell, replacing Leo E. Strine, Jr., who had become the court's chancellor. He will be up for reappointment in 2023.[1]
Education
Glasscock received his bachelor's and master's degrees from University of Delaware in 1979 and 1989, respectively. He earned his J.D. from Duke University in 1983.[1]
Career
Glasscock served as Master in Chancery on the Delaware Court of Chancery from 1999 to 2011. Prior to joining the court he worked as a judicial clerk, an associate at Prickett, Jones, Elliott, Kristol & Schnee, a superior court special discovery master, and as a deputy attorney general in the Appeals Unit of the Department of Justice.[1]
