A Santa Monica Sales Tax Proceeds for Schools Advisory Question was on the November 2, 2010 ballot for voters in the City of Santa Monica in Los Angeles County.[1] It was approved.
Measure YY was a companion measure to a non-advisory question, Measure Y to raise the city's sales tax from 9.75% to 10.25%.[1] Both measures were approved.
The advisory question asked voters if they think that 50% of the approximately $12 million/year that the sales tax hike was estimated to generate should be earmarked to support public education in the city.
