This measure sought to replace the current cemetery levy with one set at a rate of $.10 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for cemetery operational and maintenance costs in the township.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| A replacement of a tax for the benefit of Scioto Township for the purpose of OPERATING AND MAINTAINING CEMETERIES at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3] |
