July 11, 2025: Thirty-one percent (31%) of voters say businesses in their area are more likely to be hiring people than laying them off. A Napolitan News Service national survey conducted by RMG Research found 25% hold the opposite view, that businesses are more likely to be laying people off. Another 25% say neither is true.
The survey also found 63% say at the present time, it is difficult for someone who has been laid off to find a good job, with 20% saying it is very difficult. Twenty-six percent (26%) disagree, saying it is not difficult to find a job. Of this 26%, 8% say it is not at all difficult.
Methodology
The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on June 30-July 1 2025. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of Registered Voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
Scott Rasmussen is the president of RMG Research, Inc. and founder of the Napolitan Institute.
