November 15, 2023: Fifty-three percent (53%) of voters would vote for a candidate who supported Israel rather than one who supported Hamas and the Palestinian groups. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 12% of voters would vote for the candidate who supported Hamas and the Palestinian groups, and that 20% would vote for neither candidate.

The survey also found that 61% of voters believe that any ceasefire agreement for the current conflict should require Hamas and other Palestinian groups to publicly support Israel’s right to exist.

Methodology

The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points. The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on November 6-7, 2023. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the -sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.
