October 27, 2021: Sixty-five percent (65%) of voters believe the federal government is actively working to get more power and control over the lives of everyday Americans. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 23% disagree and 12% are not sure.[1]
Eighty-two percent (82%) of Republicans believe that the federal government is seeking such power and control. So do 64% of independent voters and 49% of Democrats.[1]
By a 62% to 23% margin, black Democrats believe the federal government is actively working to get more power and control over the lives of everyday Americans. By a 46% to 42% margin, white Democrats disagree and don’t think that the government is actively seeking such power.[1]
