September 27, 2019: At some point in their life, 6% of American adults have written a song and played it in public. A ScottRasmussen.com national survey found that total includes 8% of men and 5% of women.[1]

As for other creative endeavors, 8% have acted in a community theater program, 7% have been an extra in a movie, and 3% have performed in a comedy club.

Younger adults are more likely than their elders to have written a song, acted in community theater, and performed in a comedy club.
