The city of Chula Vista, California held city council elections on June 3, 2014. Robert Corcilius, John McCann, Steve Padilla, Jason Paguio, Heideh Rivera and Scott Vinson faced off in the general election. Because no candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote, the top two vote-getters - McCann and Padilla - met in a runoff election on November 4, 2014. McCann defeated Padilla. Incumbent Rudy Ramirez was ineligible to run due to term limits.[1][2][3][4]
