Shawn Hamilton was a 2014 Libertarian candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 17th Congressional District of Texas.[1] Shawn Michael Hamilton (Texas) lost the general election on November 4, 2014.

Biography

Following 9-11, Hamilton enlisted in the United States Air Force at age 26. After his military service, Hamilton earned a bachelor's degree from Baylor University.[2]

Hamilton ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent Texas' 17th District. Hamilton won the Libertarian Party nomination at the state convention in April 2014.[3] He was defeated by incumbent Bill Flores (R) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[4]
