Three of the seven seats on the Magnolia Independent School District school board were scheduled for by-district general election on May 6, 2017. However, the election was canceled due to lack of opposition. Position 2 incumbent Sonja Ebel, Position 4 incumbent Kristi Baker, and Position 5 incumbent Joe Duncan were automatically re-elected.[1]

Incumbent Sonja Ebel was automatically re-elected.

Funding

No candidate in this race filed a campaign finance report with the school district.[2]
