A South Solon Village Income Tax Implementation measure was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the village of South Solon which is in Madison County.

This measure sought to implement a income tax which would be set at a rate of 1 percent for a continuing period of time in order to further pay for municipal operations and maintenance costs in the village.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall the Ordinance providing for a one percent (1%) levy on income for general municipal operations, maintenance, new equipment and capital improvements, together with establishing a credit for taxes paid to outside municipalities on income earned in outside municipalities in an amount not to exceed one-half percent (1/2%) be passed.[3]
