A South Solon Village Police Levy Renewal measure was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the village of South Solon which is in Madison County.

This measure sought to renew the current police property tax which is set at a rate of $.20 per $100 of assessed property tax for a further five years in order to continue to pay for operational costs of the police department in the village.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Village of South Solon for the purpose of POLICE DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS at a rate not exceeding two (2) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to twenty cents ($0.20) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
