Timothy E. Meredith was a judge on the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, the intermediate appellate court for the state of Maryland. He served on the court from 2004 to 2020. He was appointed to the court by Republican Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. on June 29, 2004, and was sworn into office on August 2, 2004. Meredith represented the 5th Appellate Circuit.[1][2][3] He was retained by voters in 2006 and again in 2016.[4] He retired from the court on September 9, 2020.[5]

Education

Meredith received his undergraduate degree from Western Maryland College in 1974 and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 1977.[3]

Career

Meredith began his legal career in 1977 as a law clerk to Judge Marvin H. Smith of the Maryland Court of Appeals. He joined the law firm Corbin, Heller & Warfield in 1978. In 1984, he became a partner in this firm, and in 1995, he became a partner in the firm Warfield, Meredith & Darrah, P.C.[3]
