One of nine seats on the Tangipahoa Parish School System school board in Louisiana was scheduled for by-district special election on October 14, 2017.[2] The primary election for the District B seat was canceled after appointed school board member Tom Tolar (R) was the only candidate to file for the seat. Tolar was automatically elected.[3][4]
